This Bachelor in contemporary ceramics covers the usual fields of craft : the importance of gesture, the knowledge of matter and manufacturing processes. It also covers the current evolution of the ongoing practices of the contemporary ceramist. Studying sandstone, earthenware, raku initiation, the traditional turning technics, moulding and modelling will allow a complete perspective of the job. A special attention will be brought on innovating usages and future developments of ceramics, as well as the initiation to numeric tools and their impacts (3D printing). The scale can be very different from a project to another, notably switching towards furniture or surface covering. We'll be careful to the completion's mastering, especially the enamelling. As every other program of the école de condé, a special care to sustainability gives a direction in every module, be it regarding the materials' sourcing or the use of innovative and unexpected  materials. It also considers the transformation of the waste created during the manufacture of enamel. 24 weeks of internships are spread across the three years. By the end of the Bachelor, several possibilities : the professional insertion as an independant artist or by establishing a manufacture. One can also pursue studies of some Design Masters at the école de condé. The dynamics between the Craft and Design departments are multiple and lead to unique professional paths.
